At King Edward VI High School, our catering service, provided by Alliance in Partnership (AiP) under their brand "The Kitcheneers," is more than just a meal—it’s about providing students with fresh, inspiring, and healthy food. Our catering team is dedicated to creating a positive and nurturing dining experience that moves away from processed meals and focuses on making healthy eating both fun and delicious.

Our Catering Philosophy

"The Kitcheneers" brand is built on a philosophy of providing fast, fresh, and inspiring food to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Our commitment is to:

Fresh, Quality Produce: Menus are rotated seasonally to ensure we are using the best of the UK's produce, and we actively use local suppliers to support our community.
Allergen Management: We take a serious and structured approach to managing dietary requirements and allergies. Our kitchen and nutrition teams work together to ensure that students with allergies have separate preparation and serving methods to keep them safe.
Sustainability: AiP is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2025 and achieving net zero by 2045. We actively reduce food waste by using "wonky veg" and by utilising digital pre-order technology.

What's on Offer?

Our menus are designed to provide a wide variety of choices to suit every taste and dietary need:

Daily Variety: We offer a selector-style menu with at least two vegetarian options and at least one vegan option available every day.
Meat & Halal Options: All our meat is British Red Tractor certified. Halal meat options are also available upon request.
Speed of Service: We use multiple servery points and a pre-payment solution to minimise waiting times and ensure students can make the most of their lunch break.

We are proud to have been awarded the Food For Life Bronze certification, which recognises our commitment to healthy, fresh, and sustainable catering.

ParentPay

User

We use ParentPay, a secure online payment system, to make paying for school items quick and easy. It allows you to pay for everything from school meals and trips to uniform and after-school clubs, all in one convenient place.

You will receive an activation letter from the school with unique login details to set up your account. Once registered, you can log in to:

Pay for Items: Make secure payments using your credit or debit card.
Top Up Your Child’s Account: Easily add money to their dinner money account, so you don’t have to send cash to school.
View Payment History: Keep track of all your payments and balances in one clear, simple view.
Receive Communications: Get messages and reminders from the school about upcoming payments or events.

You can access ParentPay via their website or through a free mobile app, giving you the flexibility to manage payments from anywhere, at any time. This cashless system provides a safe and convenient way to handle all school-related payments. If you have any questions or need help activating your account, please contact the school office.
