Art & Design
Art
At King Edward VI High School, our Expressive Arts curriculum is designed to inspire creativity, self-expression, and a deep appreciation for the arts. Through both Art and Music, students develop a wide range of skills, from technical proficiency to critical analysis, enabling them to become confident and resilient learners.

Key Stage 3
Our Art curriculum encourages students to explore their imagination and creative skills through a variety of media, including drawing, painting, and sculpture. Students learn to analyse and evaluate works of art, gaining an understanding of art history and different creative techniques.

GCSE
At GCSE, we follow the AQA Art & Design (Fine Art) syllabus. This course is assessed through a combination of coursework (60%) and a final examination (40%). Students work to a specific brief, developing their skills in art analysis, digital photography, and sculpture, preparing them for further study in the arts.
